Larry Bird wore Converse Pro during the early days of his career. He was found playing in them throughout 1980-1984, in which he won two championships and established himself as one of the best in the NBA. 

Larry Bird's work ethic, determination and desire were the trademarks of the Celtics teams he led during the 1980s. His competitive, fiery nature demanded excellence from himself and from his teammates. The Celtics teams of the 1980s were wildly successful, winning NBA Championships in 1980-1981, 1983-1984 and 1985-1986.

This design consists of green canvas, with white leather chevron and star. The colorway was meant to match the Boston Celtics uniforms. Converse tagging and logos appear on the tongues and heel. Additionally, the pair is dual signed with "Larry Bird" in large black lettering.

The shoes are accompanied by a Letter of Opinion from MEARS Authentication, LLC along with a Letter of Authenticity from JSA. Also included is a 1981 Converse Basketball Encyclopedia, which features Larry Bird on the cover wearing a pair in this style.
