  • Fame is depicted in the act of sounding a trumpet.
  • Under Pegasus lies war spoilages including a lion pelt and shield.
  • Resting on a later Sienna marble base.
  • The base of the statue with an etched Coysevox signature and Jaboeuf et Rouard Foundry mark.
  • The original statue was made to symbolize Louis XIV''s peacetime and wartime prestige.
