Diverging from the norms of the conventional Nike Swoosh, the Air Force 1 Low Retro ‘Taiwan’ has its own take on the style. This pair is a retro of a highly coveted 2001 release that was an Asia exclusive drop. Presented in the familiar Air Force 1 silhouette, the sneaker is inspired by the colors of the Taiwanese flag. The ‘Taiwan’ was released during the 2018 NBA All-Star weekend in Los Angeles. 

The sneaker emphasizes the red, white and blue color scheme throughout the design. The Nike logo is ombre red on the outer and ombre blue on the inner of each shoe. The silhouette of the sneaker is finished in an all-white patent leather with perforation on the upper toe box and Nike branding in silver on the back heel. The subtle addition of the light blue sole, red tongue and red ‘AIR’ branding on midsole further harmonizes the sequence of coloring. In addition, this pair features unique round stitched shoelaces, unlike the conventional AF-1 flat stitch ones.
